Billy Dean's 30-year career in the entertainment business, capped by an Oscar nomination and an Emmy Award, includes stints as an actor, director, producer, speaker and stage manager. Originally conceived as a play, Dean and his coauthor decided that a novel would be a better way to reach the public.
