James Bacon
About James Bacon :
Jim Bacon got his start as a journalist in 1976 with the Martinsville (Virginia) Bulletin, back in the days when reporters wrote stories with manual typewriters, paper, scissors and gluepots. After a time working for the Roanoke Times & World-News and then a stint in public relations, he joined the start-up team of Virginia Business magazine as editor. Over 16 years, he rose to the rank of Publisher & Editor-in-Chief.
Seeing a dim future for print magazines, Bacon resigned to launch Bacon's Rebellion, a digital newsletter/blog devoted to building more prosperous, livable and sustainable communities in Virginia, and to pursue a career following his true passion, writing. Boomergeddon is his first published book.
