Ken Morris

About Ken Morris :

As a criminal profiler, Ken Morris generally gathers his clues from three sources: the crime scene, the victim and the autopsy report. By examining these various factors, he can extract indicators of the criminal's intelligence, maturity level and mindset.  His profiling certification was accomplished by completing a lengthy and rigorous training agenda mandated by the International Criminal Investigative Analysis Fellowship (ICIAF), a renowned group whose membership includes active and retired profilers from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Texas Rangers, the Ontario Provincial Police, the New Scotland Yard and many other superb law enforcement agencies from around the world. The main facets of criminal investigative analysis include furnishing personality traits and characteristics of unknown offenders, assessing the potential of threatening communications and actions, providing interview/interrogation techniques and analyzing written and verbal statements for truthfulness. Additional duties for Morris include crisis/hostage negotiating and examining bloodstain patterns at crime scenes.  Morris is also a graduate of the Virginia Department of Forensic Science Academy, the National Fire Academy and the FBI Bomb and Hazardous Devices School at the Redstone Arsenal.  He belongs to many criminal justice organizations and is a Board Member for the Virginia Homicide Investigators' Association.

Morris, a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute, served his country as an armor officer in the U.S. Army. He then joined the State Police in 1987, serving 6 years on the road as a trooper.

Through the years, Morris has lectured for thousands of criminal justice personnel such as police officers, crime scene technicians, Commonwealth's Attorneys, forensic nurses, medical and psychiatric doctors and college students.
