The Magic Suitcase – a Practical Guide to Packing
Whether packing for an overnight business trip, weekend getaway, week’s cruise or month-long grand-tour, it can be daunting task to balance the bare minimum with manic over-packing. Add on the challenges of the ever-changing airline baggage regulations and you are probably ready to throw up your hands in defeat. Ellen LeCompte will share her packing tricks of the trade so that you will sail through airports and arrive at your destination with just what you need.

5000 Years of History in Four Days - England in the Fast Lane
England’s history stretches back thousands of years and Ellen LeCompte has the perfect plan to cover the centuries without breaking a sweat. Based in the Cotswolds, her easy to follow itinerary takes you from pre-historic stone circles to World War II memorials. Her strategy is based in the belief that history should be fun, and her entertaining experiences with her own family, not to mention nieces, nephews and assorted friends, will have you jumping on a plane and headed “across the pond” for a long weekend of adventure.

There is More to Travel than the Plane Tickets
If all there were to a relaxing vacation or a successful business trip is booking your tickets on-line and getting to the airport, then life would be simple. The reality is that what makes a trip, either for business or pleasure; memorable (in a good way!) is the minimizing of logistical hiccups and the experience once at your destination. No matter what the budget, Ellen LeCompte’s savvy advice will give you the secret to successful travel.

Travel with Your Family without Losing Your Sanity
Ellen LeCompte likes to quote her uncle, a WWI veteran, who declared that he would rather organize moving 50,000 soldiers on a troop train across Europe than take his family on a road trip to visit the grandparents in Alabama. In fact family vacations don’t need to send you into therapy – but they do take planning and a good strategy to balance out the many factors of timing, age, interests, and energy levels. Whether it is a cruise in the Caribbean or a driving tour of New England, Ellen LeCompte can show you how vacations can be special family experiences that will be remembered with grins rather than grimaces.

Welcome to America – It’s Not All Mouse-Ears and TV Shows
Ask most Europeans why they want to visit America and the answer is almost always Disney World – ask what else and you might get New York, possibly Las Vegas but after that it is a blank stare. Foreigners’ perception of the United States is heavily drawn from the media with Hollywood movies and TV Series re-runs of Law and Order being the primary sources. The cultural diversity, natural beauty, and the rich history of this vast country are all too often overlooked by visitors from abroad. As we move into the 21st century, Ellen LeCompte will examine how travel in America is perceived by the Europeans and what can be done to change the misconceptions they have.
