Special Agent Ken Morris has been an investigator in the Violent Crimes Unit for the Bureau of Criminal Investigations of the Virginia State Police since 1996. He specializes in the art of criminal investigative analysis, a task more commonly known as criminal profiling. As one of only about 50 active criminal profilers in the world, Morris has been providing assistance to local, state, federal, and international agencies since 2002. Morris has been involved in the investigations of many high-profile cases, from serial bombings to serial killings. Though he has provided assistance on hundreds of investigations, one of his greatest achievements was creating a profile that assisted in the cracking of a cold homicide that remained unsolved for more than 30 years. His themes, which range from an introduction to criminal profiling to workplace violence, can be delivered broadly for general audiences or keenly focused for classroom instruction.
